About the Rowood Orrery Solar System Music Box
A wooden orrery music box where the planets orbit as the music plays. Winding the T-shaped key drives the gear movement, and the finished model has celestial carvings and coloured faceted crystal orbs. The pieces are laser-cut natural wood with glue-free mortise-and-tenon joints.
Worth checking before you buy
- It has a music movement — the tune is usually fixed, so check the listing if a particular song matters to you.
- It requires assembly. Expect a first build to take longer than the listed time, and have fine tweezers and a little extra PVA glue on hand.
